This is a six-part documentary individually dedicated to six renown international architects whose works have changed Milan’s skyline over the past ten years, introduced and commented by Stefano Boeri. The architects are: Daniel Libeskind, Renzo Piano, César Pelli, David Chipperfield, Peter Eisenman and Rem Koolhaas.
We followed them during a typical Milanese day. They met the public and the students of the Milan Polytechnic, appeared at the Triennale on the occasion of MI/ARCH and visited the site of their Milan project with Stefano Boeri.
Each architect presented their biography, their ideas on architecture and their views on Milan.
Their story was commented by Stefano Boeri and enriched with original footage, drawings, photographs and renderings of the works they have built all over the world as well as those in progress in Milan.
The series “Skyline. Architetti per Milano” originates from a MI/ARCH initiative - Milano capitale mondiale dell'Architettura (Milan - World Capital of Architecture), conceived and curated by Stefano Boeri on the occasion of the 150th Anniversary (2013) of the Milan Polytechnic.
Skyline. Architetti per Milano is an original LaGalla23 Productions format for 2015.
The six parts were broadcast on Sky Arte HD Italia in Summer 2015 and on Sky Arts New Zealand in the English version in Autumn 2015.
