Portrait of artist Qiu Zhijie and the making of
his solo-show at Fondazione Querini Stampalia, Venice. The Chinese artist curated
the Shanghai Biennial in 2012 and the Chinese Pavilion at the Venice Biennial in
2017 alongside Davide Quadrio. At Querini Stampalia, Qiu Zhijie presented a
selection of new works that explore the intricate dynamics traced by spatial
and temporal itineraries between East and West, past and present.
The mapping of the collections of Fondazione
Querini Stampalia, Venice and Aurora Museum, Shanghai marks the beginning of collaboration
between the two institutions.
