Galleria Vezzoli The making of
The setting up of the exhibition at MAXXI, Rome
-
This documentary is a videoreport of the setting up of Francesco Vezzoli’s solo exhibition at MAXXI, Rome. On this occasion, red damask, boiserie, stucco decorations, niches and classical sculptures completely transformed the exhibition space designed by Zaha Hadid to create a museum within the museum. The exhibition curator Anna Mattirolo explained the project “Galleria Vezzoli”. Over ninety works recreate Vezzoli’s artistic venture, including his first needlework pieces of 1995, photographs, more recent videos and his latest marble sculptures.
The video was made available on the MAXXI’s website and on FlashArtonline.it
