“L’Angelo” is the first art magazine on Mediaset tv channels, programmed by Gregorio Paolini and broadcast on Canale 5 between 1994 and 1995.
Claudia Koll presented the visual arts, architecture, design, photography and classical music contributions.
“L’Angelo” introduced the public to art and culture on TV with a progressive format and experimented with a language more apt to television timing, closer to music videos and advertising than to the traditional national television programmes.
Among the contemporary art contributions were:
- an extraordinary video written and interpreted in his studio by Gino de Dominicis for “L’Angelo”.
- reportage on the 46. Biennale Arte in Venice exhibition of 1995, the so-called ‘Centenary Biennial’; with interviews to Biennial Curator Jean Claire, to the curator of the Dutch Pavilion Chris Dercon and artists Christian Boltanski, Bill Viola, César, Luigi Ontani.
