As is the case with generic pharmaceuticals, “Generic TV” presents the same formula at half the price. It features a half-hour zapping through a parody of satellite television channels: “Essa Channel”, “Canal Janny”, “Tele Suono” and “Scai Sport”. These television formats and genres were replicated by web users who were able to entertain others as well as themselves by creating a “No Logo” alternative to normal television programming.
This is a newly conceived, user-generated format. The creative team was selected from the web through the crowd-sourcing audiovisual platform “UserFarm”, which collected the best work among the community of its users.
